Putting finishing touches on the Gemini
In 1997, Guard~Lee had the privilege of building replica set pieces for Tom Hanks' From the Earth to the Moon. Full size, high fidelity Mercury, Gemini and Apollo Capsules were designed to be taken apart for filming while maintaining authentic detail and scale. In addition, Guard~Lee was given the task of restoring LM-13, one of the only remaining original Lunar Modules. The restored LM was used in the lunar excursion sequences. Guard~Lee also supported the production with props work, space research and on-set technical aid.

Guard~Lee has supported other productions, such as the IMAX film To be an Astronaut, produced by Bob Rogers Corporation for Space Center Houston. Guard~Lee provided space suits and a space shuttle flight deck set for this movie.
