TAKING THE FORWARD FUSELAGE OFF A 747, REFURBISHING AND THEN PLACING IN THE SMITHSONIAN NATIONAL AIR AND SPACE MUSEUM              747 waiting for a nose job Nose cone removed Cuting the pieces apart Second piece removed Cockpit removed        Rest of top lowered to ground Walls one at a time  Lower section lowered to ground All loaded on trucks for transportation to Guard Lee Repainting begins           Preassemble for proper fit before shipping to DC Unloading on a clold day in DC Starting with a blank wall One piece at a time Finished project - Grand Opening was Nov of 2007
